Event firsts to the CTICC and Cape Town

CTICC2Each year the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) strives to host new and exciting events – 2015 is no exception. These are a few events to look forward to this year – in addition to the much-anticipated regular and loyal clients.

The first international Low Carb High Fat Lifestyle Conference is coming to Cape Town and the CTICC is the proud host. Taking place from 20-22 February, the conference will feature 14 of the world’s leading industry experts. The final day of the conference, 22 February, will be open to the public providing an opportunity for people to educate themselves and share their evidence about alternative diets.

Best-selling author, speaker and the poet-prophet of alternative medicine, Dr Deepak Chopra will be inspiring and enlightening South African audiences on 21 March 2015. The event will present a series of lectures that will showcase his latest findings in alternative and mainstream medicine in his plight to create understanding and awareness of how the conscience can enhance the holistic wellbeing of human beings.

With South Africa having over 3.5 million casual gamers it is only fitting that a dedicated one–stop gaming experience should take place in Cape Town. The Electronic and Gaming Expo, 29-31 May, will provide the platform the following sectors: Gaming Industry, Games and Consoles, Technology, Gadgets and Accessories, Education, Development Studios, Animation, Internet and Cell Phone Providers, Mobile Networks, Home Theatre, TV’s Projectors, and Computer Hardware and Software.

Three times Grammy nominated, Brit award nominee and Ivor Novella winner producer, musician Joan Armatrading will be performing solo for one night only on 3 July 2015. Her performances will include songs that span her entire career so far, taking you down memory lane to some of her greatest hits – a fantastic mix of magical old favourites plus more recent compositions to fall in love with.

If 2015 is the year to get fit, then you should attend the SA Health and Fitness Expo from 18 – 20 September 2015. The expo will display products and services in the fields of health, fitness, wellness and sport promotion. Visitors range from fitness-enthusiasts to the general public of all age groups.

The new Liquor and Lifestyle exhibition, MUDL Live, is the only exhibition of its kind in South Africa. A forum in which movers and shakers in the industry will come together with the purpose of engaging, inspiring and immersing visitors in a Liquid Lifestyle that is full of heritage, glamour and innovation. Scheduled to take place in November, this is an event that neither consumers nor members of the trade will want to miss.
